So when I thought of writing a blog I was bored and had nothing to do. Right now, I am currently in the middle of a busy time where 4-5 assignments are due for uni next week! Perfect time to start a blog right?

Well at a time where I am getting frustrated with uni I thought I’d take time to just type about my thoughts about random topics I am sure noone wants to read about. But first, I want to tell a little bit about me.

My name is Brendan and at the moment I am 21 and a half (my half birthday being on the 24th of December. More about that in a future blog). I live in a small seaside town on the east coast of Northern NSW in Australia. I love my sport, you’ll hear more about that in future blogs. I love watching tv, especially Survivor (you’ll hear about that also). I am currently doing a Bachelor of Education in Primary School teaching. Any other questions about me just add a comment and I’ll try and answer them!

The two things on my mind at the moment are cricket and Survivor.
At the moment Australia are over in New Zealand and are in day 2 of the first Test. Australia already won the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy 3-2. Although it’s been a great start by Aus and Michael Clarke has made an amazing comeback from all the pressure form the media after his breakup with Lara Bingle, my focus isn’t really on the test series but more on the IPL in India. The IPL is a Twenty20 competition in India where different franchises buy players from all around the world for thousands, sometimes millions of dollars to play for their teams. My focus is specifically on Matt Hayden, ex opening batsman for Australia, and his new bat, the Mongoose. This bat is awesome. It looks kinda like a baseball bat with the same long handle except that it has a cricket flat at the end. Last night, he started to use his old bat and after hitting his third boundary he opted for the Mongoose. 2 balls later he hit 4 fours and a six and it was game on. Amazing talent that he has, although he has retired for some time now, he still shows he and his Mongoose still have it. He reached 93 off 43 deliveries and showed that the future of cricket will be shown through the past in Hayden. Awesome stuff. Look out for him during the IPL.

Second thoughts, Survivor. You’ll probably hear me ramble on about this show a lot. I apologise in advance. I’m not going to bother explaining it to all those who have no idea what im on about but if you’d like to know here’s a link Survivor . At the moment it is into it’s 20th season – Heroes vs Villains. For so so long I have wanted to be on this show but, for you to be allowed to go on, you need to be an American citizen. Lame. But until they change the rules, which will most likely be never, I am enjoying seeing these Yanks put themselves in these situations. Although I accidently stumbled across spoilers and therefore know who is getting booted off and when, I still enjoy watching this great show. Genius in it’s production and ideas. It was looking like this would be the final season but it has been signed on for another two seasons, possibly in Nicargua (following rumours) and rumours also speculate that if there is a 23rd and 24th then it may be in the Phillipines. Nice. This show could go on for a while!

So keep following me as I talk about all sorts of random stuff.
Follow now.
